Part 6
Installing pedal crank spindle and bearings
The next part to be installed was the pedal crank spindle and bearings. The bottom tube on the frame was polished inside using a small wire wheel on a drill. The chain ring crank side bearing was then installed surrounded in grease. The spindle (genuine with Raleigh logo) was then placed in the bearing. Once in place the opposite bearing was greased and placed on the other end of the spindle. The NOS bearing cap was then screwed into place. Once in place and adjusted the NOS locking ring was installed and tightened.
