 Jimmy's Collection of Raleigh Choppers

Hi Mark,

As promised the pictures of my restored choppers.
The yellow one was bought for £65, it was a  mess, rust everywhere, sissy-bar stuck in the frame, cotter pins stuck in the cranks, mudguard screw stuck in the frame, the ball bearing in the handlebar had got stuck between the forks and the top locking nut! (I haven't a clue how!!!) i had to cut the threads down to get the bearing out to take the bars out to take the forks out. I had the frame shot-blasted and powder coated in yellow (good cheap job and fast turn around) the handlebars, mudguards, wheel rims, kick stand, top nut re-chromed. I am just waiting now for my cranks and sissy-bar to be re-chromed now. The brake levers, brake callipers and sissy bar springs were scrubbed with very fine wire wool, Autosol and lots of elbow grease. I bought a good second-hand seat off Ebay and a few bits and bobs of Steve Osbourne. I got it finished on Saturday morning.
The black bike was also finished this weekend, i bought the frame forks and chain guard of Steve Osbourne and swapped all the parts over from another chopper that i have got, I had a local graphic shop make both sets of stickers for me £10 for the orange and £20 for the red and chrome ones.
